Corelli - Christmas Concerto Schubert - Quartettsatz Vivaldi - Cello Concerto in d minor RV407 Tchaikovsky - Andante Cantabile (cello solo) Bach - Orchestral Suite #4 The program opens with Corelli's much-loved Christmas Concerto, followed by Schubert's dramatic Quartettsatz, a work that reveals the composer's remarkable expressive power.

We are delighted to welcome Joseph Johnson, Principal Cello of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, as soloist in Vivaldi's elegant Cello Concerto. After intermission, Mr. Johnson performs Tchaikovsky's lyrical Andante Cantabile, one of the composer's most beloved works for strings.

The concert concludes with Bach's uplifting Orchestral Suite No. 4, featuring its festive overture, graceful dances, and spirited finale. Combining Baroque masterpieces with Romantic favourites, this program offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy outstanding music and the artistry of one of Canada's leading cellists.
