Norway: Echoes of the North

A musical journey through Norway and Canada via one of the world's most distinctive brass traditions.

The concert celebrates Scandinavian music through works inspired by Norwegian composers including Edvard Grieg and contemporary Nordic voices. Highlights include In Memory of Richard Nordraak, known for its stirring patriotism, alongside contemporary brass band repertoire that explores the depth and character of Nordic sound.

Complementing these international works are Canadian compositions that showcase the strength and originality of brass music at home, creating a dialogue between two vibrant musical traditions.
