Introduction to Painting with Wayne Moore

This introductory painting course teaches foundation skills for rendering subjects in acrylic paint. The curriculum covers understanding value, paint properties, colour mixing and application methods, and developing form and volume through line, tone, texture, and colour.

Students select their own subject matter and create two works: a value painting and a limited colour painting.

For the first class, bring any acrylic painting supplies you already have on hand. All supplies and tools will be discussed at the start. Also bring a colour photograph and a black and white copy of the same subject you're interested in painting, along with a small sketchbook and an HB pencil.
