Introduction to Painting with Wayne Moore

This introductory painting course builds foundation skills for rendering subjects with paint. The curriculum covers understanding value, the properties of paint, colour mixing and methods of application, and developing form and volume through line, tone, texture, and colour.

Students will select their own subject matter and complete a value painting and a limited colour painting.

For the first class, bring any acrylic painting supplies you already have. All supplies and tools will be discussed at the start. Also bring a colour photograph of a subject you may be interested in painting, plus a black and white copy of the same image, a small sketchbook, and an HB pencil.
