Lance Anderson and NOLA Parish

Lance Anderson (piano, accordion, vocals) leads NOLA Parish, a group specializing in New Orleans piano styles and creating a Mardi Gras atmosphere. The ensemble features Art Avalos (Manteca) on percussion, Roger Williams (Shakura S'Aida) on bass, Gary Taylor (Sisters Euclid) on drums, and a saxophonist to be announced.

The band performs their own versions of New Orleans standards made famous by Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Huey Piano Smith, the Neville Brothers, and James Booker. When Anderson brings out the accordion to play Zydeco favourites, the energy shifts into full celebration mode.

Anderson is a Juno Award–winning producer and has been nominated for the MBA Keyboardist of the Year. He has been featured on CBC Radio's Saturday Night Blues and Jazz.fm Toronto's Gumb Kitchen.
