Oakville Symphony: Celebration

Oakville Symphony 🎻 presents a concert celebrating music inspired by dance, tradition, and cultural legacy.

The program opens with works by the Strausses, including the beloved Blue Danube and sumptuous waltzes from Der Rosenkavalier. Violinist Lynn Kuo performs the world premiere of Felipe Téllez's Violin Concerto, co-commissioned by the Oakville Symphony. The concert concludes with Florence Price's Symphony No. 4, presented here in the first performance by a Canadian orchestra — a landmark work blending the symphonic tradition with African-American musical heritage.
