I Mother Earth

I Mother Earth 🎸 is a psych-rock band whose journey began in the early 1990s when brothers Christian and Jag Tanna, alongside singer Edwin, exploded out of Toronto's club scene. After just 10 shows, they signed a landmark deal with Capitol Records USA.

Their first two albums, Dig (platinum) and Scenery & Fish (triple platinum), spawned multiple top 10 singles including "Rain Will Fall," "Not Quite Sonic," "So Gently We Go," "One More Astronaut," "Another Sunday," and "Used To Be Alright," along with classic tracks like "Earth Sky and C" and "Shortcut to Moncton." The band later released Blue Green Orange and The Quicksilver Meat Dream with new singer Brian Byrne before taking a hiatus in 2004.

I Mother Earth returned in 2012 with the top 10 single "We Got The Love" and sold-out shows at Toronto's Sound Academy. In 2016, original singer Edwin rejoined the band for a 25th anniversary tour of Scenery & Fish, and the reunited lineup has continued performing since.
