Dangerous Vacancies
Big Ticket, Dance, Drama Grief, bliss, and aliveness meet as Dangerous Vacancies traces what is set in motion when everything falls away. Like stars returning to a darkened sky, the work listens for the hum of continuing.
Dangerous Vacancies is a live performance by choreographer and playwright Sid Ryan Eilers (they/them), created and performed with the ensemble of EILERS Dance Theatre, centring queer, trans, and gender-expansive voices.
Founded in 2024 by choreographer, playwright, and performer Sid Ryan Eilers (they/them), EILERS Dance Theatre creates interdisciplinary, story-driven performance rooted in queer and gender-expansive embodiment and transformation.
Based in Toronto and touring nationally, the company reflects Eilers’ 25 years of work across dance, theatre, and text-based creation. The company brings together choreography, voice, music, and scenography to create work that is physically rigorous, emotionally charged, and visually distinct.
These are performances where the body holds memory, where transformation is lived in real time, and where personal and collective histories surface through movement and text.
