The Grapes of Wrath
The Grapes of Wrath are a Canadian rock band whose 60s-inspired harmonies were a staple on Canadian radio, Much Music, and Musique Plus in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Songs including "Peace Of Mind", "What Was Going Through My Head", "You May Be Right", "Backward Town", "I Am Here", and "All The Things I Wasn't" helped the band earn a gold and two platinum album certifications.
Formed in 1978, the band began in the Hooper's basement with Kevin and Tom, along with Tom's brother Chris on drums. Between 1984 and 1992, they released one EP and four albums, moving from Nettwerk Productions to an international deal with Capital/EMI. The band disbanded in 1992.
Tom and Kevin revived the group in the late 1990s for the album "Field Trip" (2000), and Chris rejoined in 2010. The band continues to perform and occasionally record.
Kevin and Tom now also perform as an acoustic duo, featuring reworked versions of the band's hits, album deep cuts, and new material.
