Get ready for some Funk, R&B, Motown and Soul covers. This band features some top musicians, playing unique choices in covers. Songs you never knew how much you liked! The show starts at 8pm. RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED.

CanAlians bring together a galaxy of playing experiences and bring the soul and funk grooves to life for your listening and dancing pleasure.

Fresh off a Fall season packed with sold out gigs in downtown Toronto, CanAlians are ready to land at The Moonshine Cafe with a night of hip-shaking soul/funk/R&B covers ranging from the 70’s on up.

Carefully selected cover tunes include those by original artists The Meters, Donny Hathaway, The Specials, Steely Dan, Commodores, Chicago, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, BeeGees, Rufus, The New Mastersounds, Stevie Wonder and many more. This band will funk up your life with alien space funk you never knew you needed!

Come and see for yourself and chase the winter blahs away!. Everyone in the band sings lead on at least one song, and together all 5 bring on a universe of rich harmonies.

The musicians come from a galaxy of past experiences:Ross Ogden (Keyboards, Saxophone, Vocals) - who hails from Australia and has performed all over South East Asia, is a multi-instrumentalist now located in Toronto, Ross performs as a combined keyboard, sax & vocalist with some of TOs funkiest and most experienced musicians.

Blake Manning (Drums, Vocals) - Drummer and percussionist for Matthew Good, Rodriguez, The Heartbroken, David Wilcox, Tom Cochrane and more. He also adds lead and backing vocals.

Cameron Guest (Guitar, Vocals) - has performed regularly for many years as a vocalist and guitarist in Ontario cover bands, at venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, the Horseshoe Tavern and the Beaches Jazz Festival. He’s shared the stage with several Canadian icons including Doug Riley and Phil Dwyer.
