Introduction to Painting with Wayne Moore

This introductory painting course builds foundation skills in rendering subjects with paint. The curriculum covers understanding value, the properties of paint, colour mixing and methods of application, and developing form and volume through line, tone, texture, and colour.

Students will choose their own subject matter and complete a value painting and a limited colour painting.

For the first class, bring any acrylic painting supplies you already have. All supplies and tools will be discussed in the opening session. Also bring a colour photograph and a black and white copy of the same subject matter you may be interested in painting, along with a small sketchbook and an HB pencil.
