Introduction to Painting with Wayne Moore

This introductory painting course teaches foundation skills for rendering subjects with paint. Topics include understanding value, paint properties, colour mixing, methods of application, and developing form and volume through line, tone, texture, and colour.

Students will choose their own subject matter and complete a value painting and a limited colour painting.

For the first class, bring any acrylic painting supplies you have on hand. All supplies and tools will be discussed during the first session.

Bring a colour photo and a black and white copy of the same subject matter you may be interested in painting, along with a small sketchbook and an HB pencil.
