NWMO Discovery and Demonstration Centre - Oakville

The NWMO Discovery and Demonstration Centre offers behind-the-scenes tours of Canada's plan for the safe, long-term management of used nuclear fuel. Visitors will explore the Engineering Proof Test Facility to see cutting-edge technology driving the deep geological repository project.

The tour includes a mock-up of an underground storage room, heavy robotics demonstrations, and a close-up look at the multiple-barrier system designed to protect the environment.

Arrive 15 minutes early for registration and a brief safety overview. Closed-toe shoes are required for the facility floor.
