Valleyridge Tree Planting

Attendees are invited to plant native trees and shrubs at Valleyridge Park, an ecologically important area within the 14 Mile Creek watershed. Since 2022, the 14 Mile Creek extension in Oakville has been designated as part of Ontario's Greenbelt as an Urban River Valley, recognized for its ecological significance.

The planting project aims to increase local biodiversity, enhance the urban tree canopy, and create bird-friendly habitats. High school students who participate will receive volunteer hours.

The event takes place rain or shine. Free on-site parking is available; please observe all signage.

This restoration project is made possible through partnerships with Green Communities Canada and Trees for Life, and with generous support from the Oakville Community Foundation's Urban Forest Fund.

Those unable to attend can support the project by gifting a tree.
