Four Towers Proposed Next to Bronte GO: Public Meeting August 10
The industrial lot beside Bronte GO Station could become one of the biggest developments in the west end. A proposal for 2172 Wyecroft Road, submitted by NBIM 2172 Wyecroft LP, would replace the current low building with four residential towers, and it heads to a public meeting on August 10.
The plan is two mixed-use blocks, each with two towers of 21 to 24 storeys sharing a six-storey podium. All in, it would bring 1,191 apartments, roughly 2,550 square metres of retail and commercial space, a daycare, and two new public roads to the site on the south side of Wyecroft, just west of Third Line and next to the GO station.
It has already shrunk
This is a scaled-back version. An early 2024 concept topped out at 35 storeys with about 1,700 units; a December 2025 submission still ran 25 to 35 storeys with 1,616 units. The current plan drops the tallest towers to 24 storeys and cuts more than 400 units. Any approval would also carry holding provisions, meaning noise, wind, traffic and environmental studies have to clear before construction.
Residents have pushed back from the start. The Bronte Village Residents' Association raised concerns about height and density after the 2024 session, and at a December council discussion residents questioned parking, housing mix and community benefits.

The Planning Act meeting is August 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Town Hall. Only people who comment before the bylaw passes keep certain appeal rights under the Planning Act.
