Nearly 15,000 Oakville Voters Cast Advance Ballots
Advance voting in Oakville's municipal election closed on Sunday with 14,787 ballots cast across ten days. The Town puts that at 8.35 per cent of its electoral population, a number it says has kept growing since the last municipal election.
Oakville added an extra advance day this year and again ran in-person voting through the Thanksgiving long weekend. The Town says the longer window gave voters more convenience and flexibility, post-secondary students who were home for the holiday among them.
Anyone who has not voted yet still has Monday, October 26. Polls run from 10am to 8pm at 40 locations across Oakville.
