Bronte Farmers' Market Returns for a Halloween Finale on October 25
The Bronte Farmers' Market is opening Market Square one more time this Sunday, October 25, and the theme is Halloween. Haunts and Harvest runs from 10am to 2pm with more than 40 vendors, live music, seasonal food and handmade goods.
The centrepiece lands at noon. Dogs in costume will parade around Market Square, and for every pup that takes part the Bronte BIA donates $5 to the Oakville Milton Humane Society. Pumpkins, superheroes and hot dogs are all welcome, and so is anything more ambitious.
The market closed its regular season with the summer, so this is a one Sunday return rather than a restart. It is also the last chance of the year to work the vendor tables, which cover local produce, sweets, artisan goods and seasonal fall finds.
Market Square sits at 2445 Lakeshore Road West, in the middle of Bronte Village, so the shops and restaurants along the strip are easy to fold into the afternoon. The BIA keeps a guide to making a day of it in Bronte if you want more than the market. Throw on a costume and bring the dog!
