Doggie Dip Returns to Oakville's Lion's Pool in September

Dogs get their own pool day in Oakville next month. The Humane Society of Oakville, Milton and Halton has opened registration for its annual Doggie Dip, which lets local dogs swim in an outdoor pool before the season closes for the year.

The Oakville session runs Sunday, September 13 at Lion's Pool, from 11am to 5pm. Milton gets its own the day before, Saturday, September 12 at Rotary Park Pool. Each dog books a 30-minute slot in the water, so the pool is never packed.

Owners are not just standing on the deck either. The Barkin' Market runs alongside both events with treats to sample and pet products to browse.

Tickets are $30 per dog, and the money goes to the humane society to support its animals and its programs. The two locations register separately, so book the one you want.
