Oakville Ford Workers Ratify Three-Year Unifor Deal

Ford workers at the Oakville Assembly Complex have voted to ratify a three-year labour contract with the automaker. The plant's workforce is represented by Unifor.

The Oakville plant halted production in 2024 so Ford could retool it, and it is expected to begin building Super Duty pickup trucks later this year. The new contract sets terms for workers ahead of that restart.

The conversion is one of the larger industrial projects underway in town, and the plant has been one of Oakville's biggest employers for decades. A ratified deal removes a question mark that had been hanging over the restart.

Production of the Super Duty line is set to bring the plant back online after roughly a year of retooling work.
