New-Look Oakville LCBO Adds Rare Wine Section and Tasting Bar

The LCBO on Cornwall Road in south Oakville has finished months of renovations and reopened on Monday, July 13, with a new look and two features aimed at wine drinkers. The headline addition is a Vintages Rare & Collectibles section, one of only four LCBO locations in Ontario to have one.

The store stayed open through construction and now has updated interiors, a curated set of high-end wines, and a small tasting bar at the back where staff introduce new products to customers. Vintage wine tastings run there every Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

Vintages make up about 14 per cent of what is on the shelves, drawn from Ontario and around the world, alongside a push on Ontario-made products.

The store is at 321 Cornwall Road. "Every product that we sell tells a story," interim LCBO president and CEO Aaron Campbell said at the reopening.
