Free Movies in the Park Returns to Oakville August 5
The Town of Oakville's Movies in the Park series is back for the summer, with free outdoor screenings running from August 5 to August 26 across seven parks. The lineup leans family-friendly, with Finding Nemo, Ratatouille and Coco among the titles.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and films start at 8 p.m. The first screening lands on August 5 at Clearview Park on Kingsway Drive. Each night includes complimentary popcorn while supplies last, provided by the Steve Kofi-Akuffo Group, plus family activities and the Oakville Public Library's Library on the Go book bike before the show.
Bring a blanket, a few snacks and bug spray, and arrive early to claim a good spot on the grass. Parking is limited at some parks, so the town is encouraging people to walk, cycle or take Oakville Transit where they can.
The series is presented in partnership with the Steve Kofi-Akuffo Group and Brain Power Enrichment Programs.
