Voting Is Open for Oakville's 2026 Reader Favourites

If a shop, restaurant or trades company in town has looked after you this year, there is a place to say so. Oakville News has opened voting in its 2026 Reader Favourites program, covering local businesses across almost 100 categories.

Voting runs through the outlet's Local Business Directory and its Reader Favourites page. Find the business, hit the vote button on its listing, and that is the whole process. Only one vote per device per business counts during the four week period.

Businesses do not need to advertise with Oakville News to appear in the directory or to be eligible, so small operators who never buy ads are on the same footing as everyone else. Any business missing from the directory, or needing a listing corrected, can be added by emailing regional manager Liz O'Donnell at liz@villagemedia.ca.

Voting closes August 31. The businesses with the most votes in each category are named Reader Favourite 2026 award winners after that.
