Bake & Connect: Sourdough Bread-Making Workshop (and more!)

Bake & Connect: Sourdough Bread-Making Workshop

A hands-on, 3-hour workshop combining sourdough bread-making with community and tastings. Participants will learn the art and science of creating sourdough at home, including how to care for and activate a starter, and how to bake bread and other treats. The workshop emphasizes connection — meeting new people, sharing food, conversation, and laughter.

Tastings & Snacks – Freshly baked sourdough bread paired with dips (such as hummus) and finger foods. Sourdough scones served with freshly brewed Colombian coffee. Participants will learn about high-quality coffee beans and have the option to purchase some to take home.

Special Guest Experience – Monica, founder of Elixir Vitae, will guide attendees through premium olive oil. She will explain the three key elements that make an olive oil truly extra virgin, and provide a take-home reference sheet. Olive oil tastings with fresh bread will be included, and bottles will be available for purchase at a special event price.

Take-Home Goodies – A complete recipe sheet for sourdough bread and scones, plus a sourdough starter to continue baking at home.

Parking – Street parking is available nearby; additional parking is located at the back of the coffee shop, accessible from Marine Drive with a back entrance. Allow extra time to find a spot.

Bring a notebook and pen if you'd like to take notes. Limited spots available — book early.
