CrowdPicks Film Fest: Oakville 2026 Location: Cineplex Cinemas Oakville and VIP, 3531 Wyecroft Road, Oakville Time: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Founded by 21-year-old local filmmaker and 4th year Sheridan College student Nico Cariati, CPFF – Crowd Picks Film Fest returns to Oakville for its second annual edition.

Now screening over 2 nights, the winning films are voted on and chosen by the viewing audience on each night of the screenings.

The film fest created entirely by students and run by students, provides a platform for young, emerging directors, writers, and artists to showcase their work on the big screen and foster youth engagement in the local arts community.

The 2nd Annual CPFF expects 600 guests and features a curated lineup of short films, documentaries, and creative projects by student filmmakers, followed by a Q&A with select directors and offers $2500 worth of prizes to winning filmmakers.
