Haunted Happenings: Candlelight Tour

The Oakville Museum invites guests to explore Halloween traditions through history inside the beautifully preserved Erchless Estate. A guide will lead visitors from room to room, tracing the curious origins of Halloween customs — from Victorian mourning rituals and superstitions to fortune telling, jack-o'-lanterns, witches, cats, bats, tricks, and treats.

Attendees participate in a themed scavenger hunt throughout the historic home, searching for hidden clues and surprises, then solving a riddle to earn a special Halloween treat to take home.

The experience blends history and seasonal tradition in a playful way, welcoming curious minds of all ages.
