Cyber Security for Female Entrepreneurs

This workshop teaches women how to identify and manage cybersecurity risks in small business environments.

Participants will learn about common cyber threats—phishing, ransomware, malware, and social engineering—and how to spot vulnerabilities within their own operations. The workshop covers essential cybersecurity fundamentals, including how to recognize and respond to suspicious activity, protect business systems and devices, manage data safely, and secure online accounts. Through practical examples and hands-on learning, attendees will gain skills to strengthen their organization's security practices and foster a culture of awareness among their teams.

By the end of the workshop, participants will understand the real impact of cyber incidents and feel more confident protecting their business in a digital environment.

Facilitator: Prerna Seth, Cybersecurity & Data Management Program Co-Manager at The Women's Centre of Halton. Prerna has an engineering background, an MBA, and holds a Diploma Certification in Cybersecurity Analytics & Cloud Operations from York University. She specializes in building digital confidence in individuals and communities.
