Bake & Connect: Sourdough Bread-Making Workshop (and more!)
Reported
Bake sourdough, sip coffee, taste premium olive oil, and connect with others in this hands-on 3-hour workshop.
Participants will learn the art and science of sourdough bread-making from start to finish, including how to care for and activate a starter, and how to bake both bread and other treats. The workshop emphasizes hands-on learning and meaningful connections over a shared meal.
Tastings and snacks include freshly baked sourdough bread with a variety of dips, sourdough scones paired with freshly brewed Colombian coffee, and a guided tasting of premium olive oil. Monica, founder of Elixir Vitae, will explain the three key elements that define extra virgin olive oil, and attendees will receive a take-home reference sheet. Options to purchase coffee beans and olive oil at special event pricing will be available.
Each participant receives a complete recipe sheet for sourdough bread and scones, plus their own sourdough starter to continue baking at home.
Bring a notebook and pen if you'd like to take extra notes. Parking is available on the street nearby and in the lot at the back of the coffee shop (accessible via Marine Drive, with a back entrance).
Limited spots available.
