Miigis: Underwater Panther

Dance Miigis is a contemporary dance work inspired by the epic journey of the Anishinaabe along ancient water routes from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes. Choreographed and directed by Sandra Laronde in collaboration with the performers, the 50-minute performance explores themes of origin, memory, spirit beings, and the Seven Fire Prophecies through striking movement, music, and visual design.
