Ghost Walks Return to Bronte Creek's Spruce Lane Farmhouse on August 7 and 8

Spruce Lane Farmhouse at Bronte Creek Provincial Park opens after dark this Friday and Saturday, August 7 and 8, for Ghost Walks. The 1899 farmhouse is lit by oil lamps, with the main rooms staged to show what Victorians did around death and mourning.

Guides take groups through room by room explaining those customs, then hand it over to the staff's own accounts of unexplained things that have happened inside the house. The tours are built to spook rather than terrify, so curious kids can come along.

Walks run 7 to 9pm both nights and last about 45 minutes. A new group leaves every 15 minutes starting at 7:30, and the last one departs just before 9. There is no registration, so arriving early on a busy summer Friday is the safer bet.

Parking lot F sits closest to the farmhouse. Park at the far end, take the path up toward the farm area, and meet at the fire pit along the walkway to Spruce Lane. The walk itself costs nothing beyond the regular $21 daily vehicle permit, which covers everyone in the car.
