Free Music Festival Coming To Bronte Waterfront In October
The stage at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park has been quiet since the summer music series ended last month. It starts up again on Saturday, October 3, when the JAM Roots and Rhythms Festival plays the park from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
Nine acts are booked across the day, a mix of established performers and newer ones. On the bill: the Bahamas Junkanoo Legends, Lost Pitch, Lala Noel, Mohsin, Alyson McNamara, Quincy Bullen, Eddie Bullen and Friends, Charlie Houston and Layla Staats.
The festival describes itself as a multicultural gathering built on music, movement and storytelling, and none of it carries a ticket price. The organisers say keeping the arts within reach of everyone, whatever their age or background, is the whole point of running it that way.
Seven hours by the water means there is no particular set you have to be there for. Bring a chair and drop in when it suits you!
