Oakville's Largest Picnic Comes to Towne Square August 2

Towne Square becomes one big picnic on Sunday, August 2, and everyone is welcome. A local food company called Locado is hosting the afternoon on the downtown green from 11am to 2pm, and it is free to attend.

The setup rewards staying a while. Local artists perform across the afternoon, a farm-to-table food truck serves fresh Ontario eats, and market vendors bring producers and makers from around the province. There are yard games for all ages, artists showing their work, and plenty of grass to spread out on.

Locado runs on the same idea the picnic does, connecting Oakville with food grown and made close to home. Come with family, friends, or just yourself and a good book. Spots are free, but organizers ask you to register ahead so they know how many to expect.
