Oakville Transit Adds Direct Bronte GO Link to On-Demand Service
Oakville Transit has expanded its Ride On-Demand service, adding a direct connection to Bronte GO station for riders in the Palermo West and Bronte Creek zone. The changes took effect Monday.
The Southeast zone picked up later weekday evenings, with service now running until 9 p.m. Riders in the North and Southeast zones can also book trips on statutory holidays, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Ride On-Demand covers four zones across Oakville: North, Southeast, Falgarwood, and Palermo West and Bronte Creek. Instead of running a fixed route, a bus meets riders at a nearby stop after they book, which helps fill parts of town the regular network does not reach as often.
The town made the changes after a service review and rider feedback. Trips are booked through the Oakville Transit On-Demand app or by phone.
