JB's Clambake for NKF

JB's Clambake 🦪 is a fundraiser for the National Kidney Foundation. All proceeds go directly to support kidney research and transplant assistance. Over the past couple of years, this event has raised over $3,500 for the cause. The clambake includes one dozen clams, half a chicken, red bliss and sweet potatoes, grilled corn, coleslaw, rolls, and butter. Entertainment features live music, games, a 50/50 raffle, basket raffles, and contests. Thursday, October 3rd, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Oakville Park Pavilion, 5875 Oakville Road, Mayfield Heights, OH. Cost is approximately $40–$45 per person. The organizer is also leading a walking team (JB's Kidney Crew) at the NKF Kidney Walk on Saturday, October 10th at 8:00 AM at the Cleveland Zoo. Anyone who joins the team receives free zoo entry after the walk. Registration is available at kidneywalk.org/cleveland. Basket donations for the raffle are being collected; donors become official event sponsors. Volunteers are also welcome. Oakville 21.1 Half Marathon, 10km and 5km Run a flat, scenic course along the lakeshore, exploring picturesque neighbourhoods and looping through Tannery Park before returning to the start at Shell Park. The route is fast and beautiful — ideal for pursuing a personal best or enjoying a family day of active fun. The race begins at Shell Park, heads left onto Lakeshore Road, and winds through neighbourhoods south of the road before circling through Tannery Park and returning to the finish.

Wiggle Waggle Walk 🐾 The Humane Society of Oakville, Milton & Halton invites the community to participate in the Wiggle Waggle Walk on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at River Oaks Community Centre in Oakville. Participants can walk, run, bike, stroll, or simply join for a day of fun. Proceeds support the organization's work reuniting lost pets with their families, operating the Pet Food Bank, providing humane education and youth programs, and caring for vulnerable animals. Currently, he appears in Arnold Schwarzenegger's Netflix series FUBAR and recently finished directing his first feature film. The process is intensive and creative, requiring storytellers to examine their own experiences deeply. Brent Butt is a stand-up comedian with a five-decade career, recognized as one of Canada's funniest performers. He has appeared at major festivals across multiple countries and was voted Best Male Stand-Up in Canada by his peers. Butt created and starred in two successful sitcoms: CORNER GAS, which TV Guide readers voted "Funniest Show on TV" and which now airs in 60 countries, and HICCUPS, which won multiple Leo and Writers Guild Awards. He has also appeared in two theatrical comedy films — NO CLUE and CORNER GAS: THE MOVIE — and starred in four seasons of an animated TV spinoff. His new venture marks a departure from his established comedic work.
