Fall Celtic Festival

The Fall Celtic Festival is the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area's two-day outdoor celebration of the cultures of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, the Isle of Man, and Celtic Iberia. Attendees can enjoy live performances, demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on workshops featuring music, dance, visual arts, crafts, food traditions, costumes, languages, and folklore. The Festival designs interactive learning and play experiences for children, youth, and families, making Celtic culture vivid and engaging for all ages. Everyone is welcomed, whether discovering Celtic culture for the first time or reconnecting with ancestral roots.

Whether you are a hiker who wants to stop relying on apps, a Scout leader building your program, or someone who simply wants to feel confident navigating the backcountry, Boreal Edge is your shortcut to real-world navigation skills. In one half-day, we take you from "which way is north?" to confidently navigating with a topographic map and compass. This is not a classroom lecture. It is a hands-on, two-part outdoor course where you learn the fundamentals, then immediately apply them on a real orienteering challenge. Sixteen Hallow in Lions Valley feels like stepping through a hidden portal where the suburban rush completely melts away. Carpooling is encouraged; street parking is available on side streets — please observe all signage. The event proceeds rain or shine. This planting initiative, supported by the Halton Region Community Investment Fund and the Trans Canada Trail, strengthens local biodiversity, provides habitat for wildlife, and delivers lasting community benefits. Harvest Festival

Experience harvest season as it might have been over 100 years ago at Bronte Creek Provincial Park's historic Spruce Lane Farm. The Friends of Bronte Creek Park are hosting two days of demonstrations and activities. Activities include picking your own pumpkins (by donation), touring the 124-year-old farmhouse, watching apple cider pressing demonstrations, and making a souvenir using a 4-foot-long cross-cut saw. Tractor-drawn wagon rides tour the park, and heritage demonstrations run throughout the event. Seasonal refreshments and food are available for purchase.
