🏗️ Five Towers Proposed For North Oakville

Kirkor Architects and Planners
A developer is proposing five 18-storey mixed use towers at William Halton Parkway and Neyagawa Boulevard. The plan would bring 898 condos, 2,400 square metres of ground floor retail, and 973 underground parking spaces to the 2.4 hectare site. Three towers would be built first, with two more added later.
Oakville council will review the proposal on Feb. 17 at 6:30pm at Town Hall. Right now staff is studying traffic, building height, and how the project fits near Hwy. 407 and future neighbourhoods.
🚧 Road Closures For Flood Work
Two Oakville roads will close starting Feb. 12 as part of Halton Region’s Basement Flooding Mitigation program. Spruce Street, between Douglas Avenue and Allan Street, will be shut down until March 27, with detours along Douglas, Mac Donald Road, and Allan. Local access will still be allowed.
Brant Street, between Rebecca Street and Lakeshore Road West, plus part of John Street, will close until March 13. Detours will follow Kerr Street, Lakeshore, and Brock. Expect a few extra turns if you are heading through the area.

🚑 Ambulance Food Drive In Oakville
With demand rising at Oakville’s Fare Share Food Bank, local volunteers are stepping up in a creative way. On Feb. 14, St. John Ambulance will host its Bandages and Bellies Food Drive, aiming to fill an entire ambulance with donations at Longo’s Southeast Oakville, 469 Cornwall Rd., from 11am-3pm.
Fare Share now supports more than 1,800 families and 5,250 people. Needed items include canned goods, rice, pasta, cereal, and baby supplies. A full ambulance would be a powerful show of Oakville’s community spirit.
🥕 Grant Expands Food Support
A $30,000 Halton Region Community Investment Fund grant is helping Food4Kids Halton expand weekend food support for vulnerable children. Two new commercial fridges were unveiled at the group’s Country Heritage Park site, boosting storage for its Weekends Without Hunger program, which serves more than 1,200 kids from over 800 families.
The added capacity helps offset rising food costs while maintaining strong nutrition standards, including fresh produce in every package. Local trustees and Regional Councillor Colin Best joined the announcement, highlighting the growing need across Halton.
