🎨 Art in the Park Recap

Source: Oakville News

Thousands flocked to Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park on August 4 for Art in the Park 2025, where over 200 local artists turned the lakeside into a vibrant open-air gallery. Hosted by the Oakville Art Society, the annual event drew big crowds with a wide mix of paintings, pottery, sculpture, and prints.

Sunshine, live music, food trucks, and interactive exhibits rounded out the festive atmosphere, making it one of Bronte’s busiest days of the summer.

⛵ Local Kids Set Sail with New Program

Source: Oakville News

A new partnership between the Optimist Club of Oakville, Bronte Harbour Yacht Club, and the Navy League is giving 30 local youth, including many Oakville Sea Cadets, the chance to learn to sail this summer. The initiative revives a program lost during the pandemic and fills a gap for cadets who previously had limited access to on-water training.

The sponsors shared costs of nearly $10,000 and hope to grow the program in future seasons. A well-timed boost for some summer fun on Lake Ontario.
