🔵 Jays Fall in Game 7 Heartbreaker

The Toronto Blue Jays came within inches of ending a 32-year championship drought but fell short in extra innings, losing 5-4 to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series. A packed Rogers Centre went silent after Will Smith’s 11th-inning homer sealed it for the Dodgers, just two innings after Miguel Rojas tied the game with a solo shot in the ninth.

Bo Bichette’s three-run homer in the third had given the stadium hope, but the lead didn’t hold. Despite the loss, this playoff run united fans coast to coast, with millions rallying behind Canada’s only MLB team. The Dodgers, meanwhile, celebrated their second straight title, leaving Toronto heartbroken but proud. Check out the highlights in the video above. ⬆️

We will be back next year. 💪💙

🚧 Iroquois Pool Delay Extended Again

The reopening of the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre pool has been pushed back yet again, now scheduled for Saturday, November 8. The town had hoped to reopen the pool on November 1 following 10 months of renovations, but last-minute electrical and mechanical issues uncovered during final inspections have caused another delay.

This marks the second postponement since the original June target, frustrating residents enrolled in fall aquatics programs. All classes through November 7 are cancelled, and the town says credits will be automatically applied. The upgrades aim to improve accessibility and comfort, but for now, swimmers will need to wait just a little longer.
