🌿 Free RBG Admission for Youth

The Royal Botanical Gardens is now offering free entry to visitors under 18 and discounted tickets for those aged 18-24 as part of the Canada Strong Pass, a nationwide tourism push running until Sept. 2. Young adults can explore RBG’s gardens all summer long for just $9.75, though special events and exhibits remain full price.
The deal covers popular spots like the Rock Garden, Hendrie Park and RBG Centre, giving local families a cost-friendly reason to revisit these natural gems. It’s all part of a wider initiative that also includes discounted VIA Rail travel for youth, making it easier to explore Ontario during the summer break.
🍒 Peak Ontario Fruit Season Is On
From strawberries in June to apples through November, Ontario's fruit season is in full swing, filling farm stands and markets with cherries, peaches, plums, berries and more. July and August are especially rich with tender fruit and summer berries, while apples, pears and cranberries follow later in the season, often just in time for fall gatherings.
The Ontario Federation of Agriculture is encouraging residents to buy local through its Home Grown campaign, which highlights the economic, environmental and nutritional benefits of choosing Ontario produce. Whether it’s from the grocery store, or from one of the various farmer’s markets here in Oakville, there is no shortage of delicious fruits to choose from.
