Shell Park was buzzing Sunday morning as more than 2,500 runners took part in the Nutrience Oakville 21.1 Half-Marathon, 10K, and 5K races. Now in its second year since rebranding, the event welcomed participants from as far as New Zealand, South Africa, and Norway, all cheered on by thousands of local spectators.
Oakville’s own Ben Howard won the half-marathon with a time of 1:14:12. The race also raised over $20,000 for local charities, including Oakville Hospital and the Food Bank. Organizers say turnout was up 30% from last year, with plans already set for October 4, 2026.
