🌊 Help Shape Bronte’s Waterfront Future
The Town is reimagining the Bronte waterfront with a long-term strategy to create a more vibrant, welcoming space for the community and visitors. Plans focus on better year-round use, improved public spaces, and fresh amenities across areas like Bronte Beach Park, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park. Community input will help shape the final plan, which heads to Council in early 2026.
There are several ways to get involved during the first phase, including pop-up info stations around Bronte, one-on-one chats with the project team, and in-person workshops. More opportunities, including an online survey, are coming in the next phases this fall and winter.
🛡️ Community Safety Fair Coming Soon
A new Community Crime and Safety Fair is coming to Oakville next month, hosted by the Oakville Community Association. Local police, security specialists, and insurance pros will be on hand to share practical tips on everything from home safety and auto theft to cyber scams and self-defence.
There’ll be guest speakers, expert advice, and a chance to chat directly with the people working to keep our community safe. You can also fill out a short survey for a shot at winning an auto anti-theft system.

🏈 Oakville’s Rourke Impresses in CFL Return

Oakville native and Holy Trinity grad Nathan Rourke made a memorable return to the GTA on Saturday, taking the field as starting quarterback for the B.C. Lions at Toronto’s BMO Field. With friends and former teammates cheering him on, Rourke delivered a strong performance, throwing for 326 yards and two touchdowns in front of a hometown crowd.
The game saw plenty of fireworks, with both teams trading scores throughout. While the Lions came up short, Rourke’s command and confidence stood out, showing why he's quickly earning a reputation as one of the league’s most dynamic young quarterbacks.
