🍽️ Dinner Club is a GO!
Last week we pitched the idea of a dinner club where you could meet new people and try new restaurants here in Oakville, and the support was off the charts!
So it’s official, we are announcing our first ever Oakville Digest Dinner Club, it’s time to gather around the table, meet your awesome neighbours, and eat some great food.
When: Tuesday, March 24th @ 6:30PM
Where: multiple restaurants around Downtown Oakville
How it works:
✦︎ Take a quick quiz about your interests, food preferences, and what types of people you are looking to meet. We use the results to match you to 5 others at your table.
✦︎ Receive your invite the morning of the dinner and discover which downtown restaurant your group will be eating at.
✦︎ Dinner time will be on Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30 PM. After dinner, all tables will be invited to a designated spot to keep the good times rolling. This after party is optional, so if you’re in a food coma, you can go home and sleep it off.
The Logistics: The booking fee is $15.99 per seat, you pay for your own meal at the end of dinner, and we put it all together from the quiz, to matching, to the reservations, and sending reminders. All you gotta do is show up, meet some new friends, and have some fun.
🌊 Help Shape Bronte’s Waterfront
Oakville is inviting residents to help shape the future of the Bronte waterfront as the town moves into the next phase of its long term planning process. The latest step asks the community to review a proposed concept for the area and share feedback on ideas for new public spaces, activities, and how the waterfront could be used in the future.
Two in person workshops will be held March 24 at Walton United Church, from 4-5pm and 6:30-7:30pm, where residents can see the plan and share their thoughts. Feedback from this round will help finalize the Bronte Waterfront Strategy before it goes to council.
🚌 Oakville Transit Seeks Rider Feedback
Oakville Transit is asking residents to share their thoughts as it plans next year’s bus service. A new public survey will help shape the town’s 2027 Annual Service Plan, which guides how transit operates across the community.
The survey asks about things like bus frequency, routes, reliability, and the overall rider experience. Feedback from residents will help staff decide where improvements or adjustments may be needed. The survey is open online until March 23.

🐾 Story of an Oakville Entrepreneur

Co-Founder of Spot & Tango and Oakville's own Dylan Munro | Spot and Tango
A fast growing dog food company that started in a small New York kitchen is now expanding into Canada, led by Oakville raised entrepreneur Dylan Munro.
Munro co founded the pet wellness brand Spot & Tango in 2018 with the goal of offering healthier dog food made with human grade ingredients. In the early days, the pair cooked and packaged meals themselves in a Queens apartment kitchen before the business quickly gained traction.
Since then, the company has grown into a $100 million subscription based brand across the United States. Its flagship product, called UnKibble, is a fresh dried dog food designed to be a more nutritious alternative to traditional kibble while remaining convenient for owners.
Bringing the company to Canada has been a long time goal for Munro, who grew up in Oakville and attended White Oaks Secondary School. With millions of dogs across the country and rising demand for premium pet food, he believes the timing is finally right.
The Canadian launch officially went live March 3, and the company says it has already received hundreds of orders from dog owners across the country.
